"Captain McKellar is going to consult with the merchant leader and TELL him he is ordering Bradley and Tanner to take the UAZ and make a FAST check out of the woods.
He is also telling LeBlanc to move the BMP into a good supporting position and warns Bishop to get ready to rip the woods apart with the 30mm if the patrol gets into trouble.
He then tells 6 of the other guards set up firing positions about 30 meters away from the BMP.
He is also ordering the BTR to lead the remaining vehicles up around bend and wait for 20 minutes. If he hears firing they are to get out of dodge and head to the nearest village."

It does not make any sense to have all this hussle. We should just walk over and have a look, what's going on. And we should do it without our "jeep". Two to four people, on foot, can hear a lot, which they can't, if we take that small Ivan-car with us."
Nonetheless, Tanner prepares for whatever action, the new CO will order.

Captain McKellar explains his reasoning.
"My theory is that whatever is over there knows we are here. There is less chance of you getting hit if you are moving fast if it is an ambush.
Also if they start firing we are going to move fast to get the trucks to safety and we want you to NOT engage but run away and join us.
The guards on the ground will cover you if you get into trouble."
